Meet Tom
I’m Tom, and Top Shelf Tom is just me: one bartender, from your first message to the last pour. My favorite events have a theme to chase. For a recent rooftop tiki party I built a four-drink menu just for the night: Painkillers, Jungle Birds, Saturns and Planter’s Punch. That’s how I like to work. I learn what you and your guests enjoy, build the menu around it and keep the drinks coming all night.

Do you provide the alcohol?
No. Under Nebraska rules I can’t sell or supply alcohol, so you buy it and I pour it. I’ll help you work out how much to buy for your menu and guest count. You pay store prices instead of a venue’s markup, and any unopened bottles stay with you.
Can you run a cash bar or sell drink tickets?
No. I work hosted, private events where guests don’t pay for drinks. Selling drinks, drink tickets or cover charges for alcohol needs a liquor license in Nebraska, so if you need a cash bar, look for a venue or caterer that holds one.
How much does it cost?
Every event is quoted on its own, based on your date, guest count, hours and menu. Send me the details below and I’ll put a quote together.
Where do you work?
Lincoln, Omaha and the towns around them. If you’re farther out, ask.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. Weekends go first, especially in wedding season and around the holidays.
Can you create a cocktail menu for our event?
That’s my favorite part. We’ll build a short menu around your event, like the four-drink tiki menu I poured at a recent rooftop party.
Do you check IDs?
Yes. I only serve guests 21 and over, and I’ll stop serving anyone who’s had too much. I’m there to keep your party fun and safe.
How it works
- Tell me about your event: the date, the place, how many guests and what you like to drink. I’ll follow up with a few questions and a quote.
- We plan the menu together and I tell you what to buy. You pick up the alcohol.
- I arrive early to set up, run the bar for your event and pack everything out when we’re done.
